On October 19, 2019, Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta was invited to attend Know Your Rights Camp Atlanta. Perfectly aligned with Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta’s goals, Know Your Rights Camp’s mission looks to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.
In addition to inspiring speakers in the education, law, health, tech and finance fields – Girls Inc. girls experienced the exciting honor of meeting and hearing an inspiring message from NFL player and activist, Colin Kaepernick. Concluding what was already an incredible day, the girls all got to take home generous gifts – such as books, backpacks, headphones and DNA kits – to help them continue on their path of learning and inspiring their communities!
