In both in-school and after-school programming, summer programming and fundraising events, volunteers are key to the impact on the girls we serve.
All volunteer positions are open to both men and women. Volunteer opportunities take place at our Marietta Center at 461 Manget Street, Marietta, GA 30060.
HOW TO SIGN UP:
Individual volunteer opportunities are listed on Hands on Atlanta. You cannot begin volunteering at Girls Inc until you have attended a volunteer orientation and completed a background check. Please visit Hands on Atlanta to sign up for a volunteer orientation. REQUIREMENTS:
- We CANNOT accept court-mandated volunteers.
- Minimum age of 18
- Must attend a Volunteer Orientation (Information will be emailed to you)
- Background Check Through Hands on Atlanta
Program Support Volunteer
The primary responsibility of Program Support volunteers is to assist with supervising and engaging girls during structured activities, field trips or informal time. This role may include secondary responsibilities, such as assisting Program Facilitators with day to day operations.
Homework Helper
The primary responsibility of Homework Helper volunteers is to work with the girls one-on-one and guide them to accurately complete their school homework.
Host a Fun Friday!
An opportunity for Corporate and Group Volunteers, Fun Fridays offer groups a dedicated time period to work directly with our girls. Groups (12 persons max) are invited to host a fun & interactive experience in the areas of STEM, girls empowerment, business, and/or arts & crafts. Afterwards, volunteers enjoy snack time with the girls. Group volunteer experiences occur between 3:30PM-6:00PM during the school year, and between 10:00AM- 5:00PM in the summer.
