Meredith Y. Lilly, Esq. currently serves as Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, where she provides strategic counsel on policy, political engagement, and community partnerships. She previously served as State Director for Senator Warnock, overseeing statewide operations, outreach, and constituent services.
With more than 15 years of experience in national, statewide, and local campaign strategy, Meredith is widely regarded as a respected political strategist and community advocate. She is known for her ability to design and execute campaigns that mobilize broad coalitions in support of candidates and issue-based initiatives that advance community interests.
Meredith first rose to national prominence in 2007 as a Regional Political Director for the Obama for America Campaign, where she successfully led organizing efforts across key states that contributed to President Barack Obama’s historic 2008 victory. Following the election, she was appointed by the Obama Administration as Senior Advisor to the Regional Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the federal government’s largest property owner with an inventory exceeding $500 billion. In this role, she deepened her expertise in federal procurement, real estate, and surplus property management.
In 2012, Meredith returned to the campaign trail as State Director for President Obama’s reelection campaign in Georgia. While spearheading operations in Georgia, she also coordinated support efforts in neighboring battleground states. Under her leadership, thousands of volunteers were mobilized to North Carolina and Florida during the final months of the campaign, helping secure a critical electoral win in Florida.
Her political acumen has led her to serve as campaign manager, advisor, and strategist for an impressive roster of elected officials, including Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, U.S. Congressman Hank Johnson, DeKalb County Commissioner Mereda Johnson, State Representative Doreen Carter, Judge Angela Harrington, Judge Erica Hughes, Judge Shannon Baldwin, Judge Tonya Jones, Judge LaShawn Williams, Judge Toria Finch, and CEO Michael Thurmond. She also advised on fundraising and campaign strategy for high-profile leaders such as Keisha Lance Bottoms (Mayor of Atlanta), LaToya Cantrell (Mayor of New Orleans), Chokwe Antar Lumumba (Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi), Ras Baraka (Mayor of Newark, New Jersey), Michael Blake (former New York State Assemblyman), and Steven Reed, the first African American Mayor of Montgomery, Alabama, on his historic campaign.
