🔌Cox Volunteers Spark Curiosity and Connection During STEAM Club Visit
Cox has long been a committed partner in our STEAM programming, helping Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta bring innovative, hands-on learning to girls across our region. From funding STEAM Club and donating laptops and robots, to providing thousands of STEM kits and supplies, Cox continues to fuel the imagination and potential of our future innovators.
This month, their support became even more personal—when Cox team members joined us in person at the Girls Inc. Center for an energizing afterschool visit during our weekly STEAM block.
🔧 Circuits, Codes & Discovery
The afternoon was alive with energy as Cox volunteers and Girls Inc. participants dove into a variety of newly donated STEM kits. Each girl chose their own adventure—some building working electrical circuits, others cracking coded riddles to reveal their secret-agent identities (with plenty choosing to try both!).
The hands-on learning sparked more than just scientific discovery. It also sparked real connections, as students and volunteers worked side-by-side, asked questions, solved problems, and celebrated each small success.
The building was buzzing with curiosity, laughter, and possibility—exactly what STEAM learning is all about.
🤝 Real-World Role Models
Beyond the experiments and electronics, this visit gave our girls something even more powerful: access to supportive role models. The presence of professionals who use technology in their everyday work helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and career pathways—offering a glimpse into what’s possible when confidence meets opportunity.
