๐ŸŽ Families Thrive Food Distribution Project Launches to Support Local Families

On Thursday, November 06, 2025, Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta proudly launched the Families Thrive Food Distribution Projectโ€”a new initiative designed to provide reliable food access and community support for families affected by the recent government shutdown and SNAP benefit pause.

This vital program is part of our broader commitment to holistic wellness and community care, ensuring that families have what they need to thrive, not just survive.

๐Ÿฅฌ Weekly Support When Itโ€™s Needed Most

Every week, our team of dedicated staff and volunteers distributes fresh produce, pantry staples, and household essentials to families across the metro Atlanta area.

๐Ÿ•’ Operating Hours:
Thursdays: 2:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM
Fridays: 10:00 AM โ€“ 1:00 PM
This service will continue through September 2026.

๐Ÿค Beyond Food: A Holistic Approach

The Families Thrive Project goes beyond just food distribution. It also connects families to:

  • Wellness resources
  • Community-led workshops
  • Family engagement opportunities

These added services are designed to foster stability, empowerment, and long-term growth for the families we serve.

๐Ÿ’› Powered by Partnership & Compassion

We extend our deepest thanks to the volunteers, donors, and community partners who make this work possible. Your compassion and collaboration ensure that local families donโ€™t fall through the cracks during difficult times.

Together, weโ€™re making sure that families have not just the basicsโ€”but a foundation to thrive.
