The Power of She: Recapping the 2026 Mother–Daughter Summit
In a world moving faster than ever, finding time to disconnect and reconnect is essential. On March 14, Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta hosted the 2026 Mother–Daughter Summit, a day dedicated to bridging the gap between generations while navigating the complexities of the digital age.
Self-Care in the Age of AI
The theme of this year’s summit, “The Power of She Meets the Future of We: Self-Care in the Age of AI & Technology,” sparked critical conversations. We moved beyond basic screen-time rules to explore how artificial intelligence and emerging tech impact:
-
Mental Health: Navigating the comparison culture of social media.
-
Online Safety: Practical strategies for protecting data and privacy in a tech-heavy world.
-
Digital Balance: How families can use technology as a tool for growth without losing the human connection.
Side-by-Side Learning
The most impactful element of the summit was the opportunity for mothers, guardians, and daughters to learn together. Through live demonstrations and interactive workshops, families engaged in “side-by-side” learning that broke down barriers. These sessions gave mothers the language to discuss tech trends and daughters the space to share their digital experiences in a supportive environment.
A Community of Support
Beyond the workshops, attendees connected with community wellness vendors, providing a network of ongoing support long after the summit ended. The day was a powerful reminder that while technology will continue to evolve, the strength, unity, and empowerment found in our community remain our greatest assets.
